Kickstarter Weekly–April 4, 2014

4 04 2014

Hey everyone! We have some exciting news for you all! But we can’t tell you just yet! Such a let down, right?

Anyway, we’re going to jump in with this week’s Kickstarter Weekly, and there’s some cool stuff to check out from some of our favorite publishers and designers, so let’s get crackin’!

Featured Campaign!

storytellerStoryteller Cards: Fantasy – Jason Tagmire

Our good friend Jason Tagmire is back with another deck of Storyteller cards. Storyteller cards serve as a regular deck of playing cards, a creative tool, and a way to teach creativity to young gamers – think story dice. Along with the cards, your pledge will score you the Storyteller Manual–in PDF form, or as an add-on–that will have games designed by some fantastic designers specifically for the deck of cards you’ll be getting. The first game announced is Divvy In The Dungeon by the one and only Jason Kotarski, you may know him as the guy who designed a TOG favorite The Great Heartland Hauling Co. And who has a few more games hitting the market this year with Crash Games! With more to come, this campaign is super inexpensive to get into and packs a lot of potential; we think you should jump on board!

The campaign ends on April 24, and a pledge of $10 will get you a deck of your own! You can find all of the details right here!

BullfrogsBullfrogs – A Strategy Card Game of Amphibian Combat – Thunderworks Games

Bullfrogs is an area-control card and cube game that pits 2-4 players against each other as they battle it out for POND SUPREMACY! This is done by playing cards to create the landscape, and placing cubes that represent your amphibian army. Bullfrogs is a light strategy game for all ages; check back here next week for our review of Bullfrogs!

The campaign ends May 2. A copy of the game will cost a pledge of $22. You can find all of the details right here!

coup expCoup Reformation – Kickstarter Edition – Indie Boards & Cards

We wrote a news piece about this earlier this week, but thought it would be a good idea to include it again here in Kickstarter Weekly–because we LOVE this game. There are just 11 days left on this campaign, and you won’t want to miss out on it. Coup packs a LOT of game into a small package. The campaign is currently crushing it, and has eclipsed the $100k mark!

The campaign ends on April 15, and a pledge of $15 gets you the expansion; a pledge of $30 gets you both the expansion and the base game. Click RIGHT HERE for all the details.

sentinelsSentinel Tactics: The Flame of Freedom – Greater Than Games

The superhero card game Sentinels of the Multiverse rolls out its next evolution–a tactical battle board game, complete with finely sculpted minis for the six heroes, and three villains. Sentinel Tactics takes place years after the story line of the Sentinels of the Multiverse comics, and forges ahead giving some new twists to the familiar favorites. The campaign is blowing away stretch goals left and right, and has plenty of time to unlock them all.

The campaign ends on April 24 and a pledge of $60 will get you the game WITH the sweet miniature, although you can pledge at lower levels to get the game without the minis, or just the minis themselves–cause, ya know, they’re sweet. You can find all the details of the campaign right here!

Thanks for reading! Have a great weekend. And don’t forget to play some games tomorrow for International TableTop Day! It’s a great excuse to get some gaming in!

You can subscribe to TOG by filling in your email over on the right, we’d also love to connect with you on FacebookTwitterInstagramYouTube and of course there’s more TOG where this came from on our Podcast!
